I have not gone over to the MEV proboards forum but I am sure most of the builders over there went too.

I am just waiting for my registration documents to arrive from DVLA so that i can drive my 2rike on the road! in the mean time I have had the 2rike out at Elvington airfield to have a go at the" standing mile" with the straightliners club. I had a great day out and managed to get 113.8MPH out of the 2rike with a standard R1 motor although the wildly optimistic bike speedo read 129MPH The 2rike was very stable at high speed and drove really well the only issue I had was the wind buffeting my helmet which I have not experienced before. so a small screen may be needed to deflect some of the wind over my head for the next I have ago ! here is a link to a on board video of a run: www.youtube.com/watch?v=0GfUs8WWfjY

I have finally got my log book back from DVLA after about four weeks of paperwork going backwards and forward and so I am now on the road, I wasted no time in having some good trips in the Yorkshire Dales. I have done over 300 miles in the last week or so and it drives really well and I very pleased with its performance and handling one thing I am going to address is the Mudguards need stiffening up they are a bit wobbly on bad road surfaces. I am also going to need a small fly screen to get out of the wind it was Ok with a helmet on but a bit draughty without , on my first run down our local dual carriage way at 70 mph It literal blew my hat off! I am also going to put a buzzer on my indicators to remind me they are on because I am not used to them not self cancelling after the corner like a car does. These few small tweeks will make it even better.

Good for you. Love to go for ride in it or better take you for a ride in it. Ha! I have been known to leave my blinkers on too, but forget the buzzer, you will never find one loud enough to work without annoying surrounding traffic. Before I replaced the anemic motorcycle horn, I often times could not hear it'!
Better to use a bright red leds mounted as high in your line of sight as you can get, preferably over the tach or speedo as that's where you are often looking anyway. Can be distracting at night though. Maybe use a dimmer
Hub mounted fenders can be a challenge to install without some independent movement. Check out videos of various of Supersevens and the like. Mine shake and rattle a bit but so long as they stay tight don't destruct and don't rub, no harm done.
What tire pressures are you using?

Hello, At the moment I am running 26 PSI on the rear and 18 PSI on the fronts and It all seems spot on, but I must admit i have not had chance to do any proper testing with pressures yet. I have put some half round dowel in the front mudguards and put 3 layers of 450g C/S matt over that and it has stiffened the job up no end. And it has cured my wobbly mudguards.

Next on the list of improvements after about 500 miles of testing In the Yorkshire Dales is a small windscreen, just to deflect the air over my head! and what a difference it has made. I can now cruise at 70mph with out the need for a crash helmet so its very pleasant and more like a traditional open top sports car and I have noticed at slower speeds you can feel the heat from behind the seat being drawn forward slightly I am going to have a go at ducting the hot air that exits the back of the engine radiator and ducting it back in to the footwell from under the seat to make it more comfortable on colder days.

Craven took me for a ride out in this magnificent bit of madness. I've done a write up for one of the biking magazines about it.
If my build drives anything like this fantastic trike I'll be over the moon.

I have been fortunate to have had a feature in Septembers issue of Kit Car magazine over here in the UK. its even got a pull out double page poster that's going straight on the garage wall! Its good to give the reverse trike cause a bit of coverage in mainstream kit car mag because its not as big over here as it seems to be in the USA. Although the Polaris sling shot is being pushed in the UK at the moment. I am not bothered who makes RT's. We just need more over here!!!!

Too bad shipping from England to USA is so much. The MEV/Stuart Mills designed Eco-Exo is $4700 (US$) plus shipping of $950 to ship to the Seattle Airport so I could pick it up.

I suppose you would need to ship in to the USA in a batch of 5 Kits to get the shipping cost at a reasonable and realistic cost It would be interesting to find out what the optimum no of kit would be because they would be relatively light to the volume of space they would take up?

I have been making a batch of 6 off suspension turrets for the next three 2rikes. The turrets holds the inner end of the upper and lower wishbones and the coil over shocker top mount. Number 2 chassis is coming on nicely on the Jig.

Great job, I appreciate all the precision and detail on your trike. Excellent tubing notch and jigs, it make welding a lot easier and stronger. What diameter tubing did you use and what tubing bender do yo use? The forum has been quiet lately, I just started back on my trike after 6 months, please check it out. You do very professional work!

Thanks Joe, I find if you keep your eye on the detail, all the rest falls in to place. Your build looks to be coming on well. I use a Baileigh TN-76H notcher its quick and easy to set up and I find it an excellent bit of kit. As for the tube bending I just buy the tubes bent to my spec at the moment it more cost effective for me to do that. The tube I use is high spec Motorsport approved cold drawn seamless tube and it would be easy to waste a few meters of it with mistakes bending the tube at home, bought in bends are within .2 of degree accuracy so it saves me a lot hassle
