This is the look I am going for or at least similar minus the rabbit ears........LOL! A center air scoop and maybe some roll bars similar to this one below.

I am actually thinking about making a new wider swing arm for a larger rim and I thinking about building my own engine cradle as well. I plan on having 2- 5.5 gallon bandit fuel tanks on each side in the back to allow more fuel so the motorcycle frame may be alot of extra waste.

Planning on custom building upper and lower tubular A arms and using a mustang II front spindles, disc brakes, and Mustang II manual rack and pinion steering to so hopefully everything will match up properly.
I'll need to pick up some coil over shocks and I'll be mounting them down inside the body and use a pivot arm and rod to connect them the the lower spindle.
I was off today for the holiday so I managed to get about 6 more hours in on it.

How are you designing your chassis? Are you using CAD, or just on paper, or "this feels about right",or some other method?

It started out on paper first using similar demensions to other trikes as far as the backbone of it and then I started to build a scaled down version in the form of a model and decided to just buy the materials and start building the real thing.
Never done this before but my background in welding and mechanical will help me succeed.
I basically saw the picture of the "Energy" concept trike and loved the design so I decided to build my own or at least try to build something similar.

Ok so here is the latest progress including one of the Bandit. I almost hate to use it because it is a perfectly good bike. I would have rather found a wrecked one but they are not easy to come buy and usually have to bid on them in an auction and they end up selling for what I bought the complete bike for. I feel like it is going to be too long if I weld the bike frame to the back of it but from the front of the engine to the back tire it is another 3 1/2 feet not including the rear fender overhang. Beginning to wonder if it is out of proportion. I guess this is where it gets harder..........LOL!

A little further today and have ordered the tires and wheels for it which will be here next week. I decided to go with Verde Calibre 17's on the front with a 225/45R/17 Falken tire
