Here is a look at the potbox. The cable is attached at one end to the gas pedal and the other end to this box which controls the speed of the electric motor. I had to purchase a brake cable from a tandem bicycle (9 feet long) Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

So I spent several hours trying to come up with a mechanismcans to shift the transmission. This is what I made, a big letter Z. Attachment Deleted The red arrow goes to the stick shift handle . The blue one points to pivot point. The green one points to the transmission lever. Now all I have to do is make a second one for 2nd and 3rd gear

I also cut and rewelded the brake pedal because it was too close to the steering link. Attachment Deleted

I installed the fuse panel. It hold 10 fuses. I ended up welding one of the bracket to the chassis and the second one bolts on to it so that he fuse holder wouldn't interfere with the removal of the battery charger if need be.

Made a nice cover for the box that houses the electronic components.

Here's a side shot. I took it out for a quick drive on my street. I need to start wiring lights so I can drive it up to speed and see how it will handle the hills around town. Attachment Deleted

So I'm thinking about how to do the body for trike. I'm planning on using fiberglass and a form of Plexiglas for the windows. Here are some of my ideas, and by all means feel free to offer yours: Attachment Deleted

It looks good. I personally like your second body design. I think the rounded top adds to the trike's look. I was curious though, what did you use for your front control arm and suspension set up? Did you salvage a car's front end, design and fabricate your own, or use a mix? I am currently designing my trike and am trying to get ideas for the front end. Thanks

II used a 1971 VW Beatle front end. If you look at the first page and zoom in the picture you can see it looks just like the one below. I went with a Vw front end because it was the easiest for me. Just put a steering wheel on it and you are done. Attachment Deleted

"This looks similar to what I think you may have in mind. Looks like a light plane fuselage" It definitely looks like a Cessna airframe. But yes, that's more or less the look. however, if I had a Cessna I wouldn't chop it up to make a Reverse Trike

You can find old airframes that will not pass inspection and are sold for scrap near most large airports. I seen a stripped Cessna 210 go for $250 after it had a very hard landing and buckled the right landing gear and put the tail in the ground.

That's cool. I like the miniature propeller in the front.

Looks good I like the speedo on that brushed gauge panel. are you going to be to close to the wheel, the seat seems very close?

are you going to be to close to the wheel, the seat seems very close? Not at all. I'm 5.6 and the seat can slide backwards if I don't have a passenger. I like the look of the brushed panel but I worry about it reflecting sun glare. I think I might end up spraying it flat black or covering it with black leather from an old couch I found in the trash .

I was able to find an auto glass place that would make me a custom windshield for $225 installed. They also made me the side windows for $100 a pop. I'll buy the windshield soon, but for now I bought a d installed the side windows:
