That is a very attractive looking trike Ned. Love the long bends in the tubes , like the Stretch and Ariel Atom frames. Seating looks as low as practical and gives it a great stance. Can you tell us more about it. I think I saw another build on the net with a very similar frame. Did Alan build it from plans sourced elsewhere? Where were the front end parts sourced from. The Shaft drive is something neat and different. Any jacking under acceleration that some bikes using a shaft experience? Got any specs you could give us?
No doubt Alan put years of work into it. Good catch.
I'm sure you have seen Alan's track day video, for those who have not, there is link to it here on the forum in one of Alan's old postings.

Hello Triplethreat
The trike is awesome, it's like having a road registered race car it is extremely fast and handles very well apart from the wheel lift off.
There is still a lot to do to finish the project, such as all the fibreglass is going to go and replaced with alloy panels of different style and shape a friend of mine is a metal expert have a look at www.handbuilt.net.au with his help this trike is going to look awesome.
Come this winter the trike will be stripped and frame painted or powder coated, the accelerator stuck full throttle once so a new pedal and cable system to be worked out and fitted there are new headlights going on this week end, new rear brakes tonight.
There are no plans for this design it is a one off at the moment, Alan is building another one using Cam am motor bike.
The front end is MX 5 Mazda Rack, Sway bar, control arms, the bike is a FJR Yamaha 1300. The drive shaft is or has worked fantastic with no issues at all as yet, reverse gear is starter motor which engages a gear on the drive shaft.
Since I purchased the trike I have changed the gear lever system which was a cable from the gear lever to the motor bike gearbox which was terrible and the gear lever was hard up against my r/h leg attached to the frame (we are r/h/s steering in aus) now gear lever is in the centre of trike direct connection to gearbox via solid alloy shafts and linkages works a treat no more missing gears or crunching gears when race changing. New tyres now has awesome grip. New twin headlights.
The thing I dislike is the attention it attracts, we are filmed/photo by passing cars, when we stop where ever there are a million questions and photos taken and the police don't like the fact it's legal on the road.
So I have not done a lot to it due to I can not stop myself from driving it will wait for winter.
