Hello together, greating from Germany to this great board. I would like to present my RT-project here. It is already finished, some cosmetic issues are still remaining. The project has been started April 2015. The techniccal base is a Peugeot 208, 1.2 ccm, 82 horse power. As pictures say more than 1000 words I would show some of them as the buid was in progres. Best regards, Myon

Looks brilliant!! My only question is how is it classified as a reverse trike with four wheels?

Thats a great build, and a good looking RT , and to be honest there is a lot more work in an enclosed trike, the windscreen (I presume its a stock one off a car) really suits the look of it and adds to a professional finish
Is it hard to get a Reverse trike registered for use on the public roads in Germany?

Am I missing something.......? By definition a trike has three wheels, not two in the front and two really close together in the rear.

Welcome to the forum Myon. From you license plate I see you are from the Westerwaldkreis area, northwest of Frankfurt Am. I lived in Heidelberg back in 1975, Stuttgart from 1979 to 1984 and Kaiserslautern 1987 to 1991. Mein Deutsch ist Schwäbisch. Es tut mir leid. In most areas of USA, 4 tires on the ground is not a trike or motorcycle. I never looked at rules in Germany when I was there. Myon, there is a 3 photo limit on each post and we can not change that, that is set by the ProBoards host. And we request that you host the pictures on like ImgSafe.org or Flicker due to having a total of only 200 Meg's of attachment space to share with all members. We all love to look at pictures. Just your 12 that you posted above added almost 5 Megs of attachments, not too bad.

Servus and hello,
yes, it is officially classified as a trike, not as dog :-)
In Germany it is called double-wheel which per definition counts as a single wheel when the two wheels are installed onto one rigid axle and the distance between the middles of them is less then 460 mm.
It is at least easier to get it street legal here, mostly because of the emmision restrictions. A new car (normal 4-wheeler) has to have EURO 6 now, and a self-built car is a new car per definion, even built with used components it has to meet the requirements for the new cars.
Best regards, Myon

Myon, Two questions
What technique did you use for making your body parts? Looks like resin and glass matt over foam.
How is the vision looking out the wind shield and rear?

Hi Dave, Regarding your first question, your assumption is correct.
Don't know how to describe, the view is ok, but do see the end... backwards only through the rearview mirrors.

Myon, If you have any pictures of doing the body build up, I like to see them. Most people think body building is hard but it is not. When I was in Stuttgart, I met up with some motorrad groups and one day one of the guys said "Du, Komm, folge mir" and we rode up to Montabaur, had dinner and bier's (Viele Bier, aber wir waren zu Fuß ) at a Biergarten and camped in his parents back yard for the night. Spent two days around the areas between Frankfurt and Bonn. <<<Picture is me in Heimsheim, Baden-Württemberg west of Stuttgart.

It is a really nice story. I am living just 5 km from Montabaur away. Regarding the body build up, I decided to go the easiest way, the "positive shape". To build the negative tool, it was too affortful for me. But this kind of making a fiberglass body leads inevably to a lot of afterwork to get a smooth surfase, with additional weight.

So, the aim is to get surface as smooth as possible and in my case as light as possible (the whole stuff remains, I did not try to get it out).
