Building a TRP reaper kit that I bought out of N.Carolina. It was designed to use a Gsxr 1300 motor but I refabricated my own mounts for the Triumph engine, swinger, and shock. It's coming along. I now have the electronics and radiator connected and have started the engine. Over my upcoming vacation I'm going to finish the brakes, shifter, shifter cable, throttle cable and clutch cable. At that point, it should be drivable. I'll try and keep you posted

Got the kit home and immediately ordered the front rims and suspension so I could get it off the trailer

The kit was set up for a Gsxr 1300 but they're expensive and I wanted something different. Had to cut The Gsxr mounts out and fabricate my own using the Triumph frame

Is that how the standard kit leaves the factory, with no paint on the frame and the panels filled with body filler? Thanks for sharing the Pictures.

You may find a car tire that is about the same size to fit the rim when you get it. Just a fore warning, A car tire in say a 15 inch diameter will have a bit smaller inside diameter than a motorcycle rim in 15 inch so they are tough to get seated on a motorcycle rim. Use lots of REAL tire lubricant, not dish soap, very warm day or warm shop and lots of quick air pressure. There are a lot of bikers running a car tire on their two wheel bikes so on a trike they work very well. Just check with your local law regulations first. Years ago I ask Progressive insurance if mounting a 14 inch DOT car tire on my "UNMODIFIED" frame/swingarm/rim motorcycle was OK and their answer was if everything was unmodified and the tire was US DOT approved, then yes. I have been riding on a car tire on my 650cc Suzuki for about 8 years now and after the first 100 miles it becomes second nature leaning in corners. I keep up with all the sport SQUIDS on a group ride except when they blast up to over 115 MPH then my 650cc SCOOTER can not keep up.

They supposedly did some "extra" work on the body panels for this kit. Because someone had put a deposit down to have them do a full build. Like is said, I wasn't real pleased with it but after having built my own few trikes in the past, this was easier than starting from scratch

In response to the rear tire. I did research, I was concerned about a 205 tire fitting so I found this Yokohama 195-50-17 on eBay. It was $120 shipped. Its been mounted up for about a year with no leaking. But now I realize that a 205-50-17 will fit in the swingarm. The 205's are common and way cheaper than the Yokohama not to mention getting the extra traction in the rear.

Put in some solid hours lately Built a temporary shifter, connected it the the shift cable using a clevis I had. On the motor side of the cable, I made a cable holder that attaches to an empty screw hole on the bottom of the engine. For the shift mechanism, I made a threaded female connector that the shift cable threads into. The shifter works, but I have some fine tuning to figure out the length of throw that i want in order to shift adequately

Got the calipers mounted, brake lines on and bleed. Also started weeding through the Triumph wiring. Eliminating the original passing light wiring, run switch wiring, etc. It's know wired using the Mazda miata controls for the ignition, hi and low beam, and the turn signals and
