Hi RT fans. I thought I might post up a bit of an update on our kit and US distribution of it (at the risk of it sounding like an ad which its not meant to be).
For the US market we really only wanted one donor, just to make things nice and simple. In reality you could probably order in whatever you want from our 4 choices but we decided to focus on our ZX14 kit. The Tri Pod 1 is all about simplicity and maximum driving pleasure through great handling and ample power. No one can argue the ZX14 doesn't offer "ample power"!
We have been busy improving our design from the chassis through to ancillary parts such as gear linkage/changing mechs, through to the way it drives. With the current ZX14 kit we feel the development of our Tri Pod 1 is complete. Many small improvements have been made but perhaps the best enhancement for the builder is the ease of screwing one together.
Some idea of the skill level required (not much skill at all, just common sense required really) can be gained by skimming through one of our "how to's" we are currently working on such as -
Front end fitmentIt is now literally a Mechano set. 90% of the work is just bolting stuff on and the complete kit comes with the vast majority of what you need to get the thing driving. Sharply priced at USD$15,500 ex Denver.
