Simple locost type spaceframe, monoshock front and rear, pushrod front, inboard disc brake, front wheel drive, with Warp 9 electric motor driving the Ford Cosworth LSD. Basic alloy panelled chassis to be clothed with a streamlined composite body based on Dennis Palatov's dp1e racer.

Will be using a Warp 9 motor, unless I can find something with similar characteristics for less cash?

A beautiful piece of engineering, monoshock by Ohlins, previously fitted to a Van Diemen single seater.

I'm not sure I understand your front suspension. I understand the mono shock, but does the bracket where the push rods attach rotate side to side? If it does not, I get it. If it does, it seems like it would have the opposite effect of an anti-roll bar. Am I missing something...just curious.

Hi Joker, Yes it pivots side to side where the push rods attach and then pivots up and back in bump. Conventional wisdom is to accomodate roll by allowing lateral deflection of the pivot point using belville (?) springs and washers, but I'm going to try this first in the interest of reducing complexity and weight. Having spent many hours resolving FWD handling problems with increasingly stiffer anti roll bars I thought this radical solution might be worth a try. If it doesn't work I will convert to a "conventional" monoshock configuration or a two shock arrangement. Did you notice the inboard single disc? Regards Martin
