From another site the price is around $6000. www.extrememotorsales.com/trexx_250cc_trike_motorcycle.htmMy only problem is the chinese drivetrains used which will probably cause a lot of upgrading to japanese drivetrains. Its proportions are out of whack for a T-rex copy but not that bad. I keep thinking of a burgman 600 drivetrain would make a nice powered trike. SRX660

I found another photo, seems it is actually a motorcycle motor, has a chain drive. This version is called a Kandi Viper 250MD. For $6,000.00 it is a priced right trike, if it delivers decent quality. You could pull the 250cc out and drop whatever you like in.

Scooter, what you are seeing is a jackshaft that goes thru the swingarm mount. the scooter drivetrain is hooked into the left side of the swingarm and the right side has a sprocket mounted. If possible i will take pictures of a local trike( can-am copy) that has the same setup as these kind of trikes. I drive by one every day going home.

Ahh, I see.
Thanks for clearing that up. Still though with a chain drive system in place, it might allow a motorcycle motor to drop in easier.

Here's the trans pictures i took. Too bad they would not let me take off the chainguard to show the jackshaft. The first photo shows the standard belt drive that is usually hooked to a scooter wheel. Instead a short shaft is run to the right side of the trike and a sprocket attached so a fat rear tire can be used. The second pic kinda show that. SRX660

I recognize it, probably a Yamaha/Linhai motor. All the scooter/atv motors from China have a CVT that looks like that.

Ulavenger(Kevin),
I don't own the forum, I am not a moderator, but it seems like poor manners to come here and try and recruit members to your forum without adding anything in the least to the conversation, other than come to my web site to talk about these trikes.

I bought one and it is a real head turner. Only problem you have to do a lot of upgrades to make it road worthy.

What did you do to it and what kind of improvement did you see.

SRX660, A full dressed and fueled Burgman 650 weighs 625 pounds. There is lots of unneeded parts and plastics on one that could be axed. I ride mine 82 miles round trip daily in all type of weather. 50 + MPG and a top speed (corrected) of 110 MPH. I have mounted a Bridgestone Potenza 165/65SR14 car tire on it so it would be an excellent trike powerplant.
It would be so easy to cut off all the engine mounts and weld in Burgman mounts. Even the Burgman 400, 70+ MPG.

haha T Rex has had a baby! Ya! A retarded baby! Oops, a physically and mentally challenged baby. IMO it is not worth investing any time or money in. It is very disproportionate and there are many deficiencies to correct. Better to start from scratch.
