Suggestion, now this is going to be gravity powered I'm assuming. If it is gravity powered you might want to stretch it out and lower the rider to decrease wind resistance.
BTW, if you didn't already know it, three wheels offer less rolling resistance than four. You might want skinnier/taller front wheels and tires for the same reason.

Thanks mate, but our idea is to build it on a budget, with as many recycled items as posible, rear wheel is from a pocket bike, front ones and steering linkage from a broken quad from the shop next door, the only stuff i´ve paid for is the tubing. After the race we can start to develop the trike, the idea being to strecht and streamline it. By the way some pictures of the final mock up yesterday, next week comes the testing and finally painting.

We´ve been testing the trike this morning, it has an amazing grip and the entrance in the curve is splendid, the biggest problem being teaching my nephew how to ride it fast.

The way you have those front wheels set,it should dig into the corners well.

I like it, perhaps it needs a graphic on the side, something like Explosive! or Fire!
