Maybe your next trike will be battery electric. No trans needed and faster than ice with twin-turbo!

Try to find a series III XJ6 Jaguar steering column. It has colapsible shaft and is fully adjustable in/out.They are very cheap, too!

Yeah it came out a little shorter than I had hoped for but I am still thinking of sort of a cage idea anyway so that will bring it up a little higher. Cool, I'll definitely check that out. thanks

Just a quick update, I got the shifter done now too. Now I'm just trying to get the dang thing to stay running when I put it in gear. I know the kickstand and the clutch both have to be up/in and I've addressed that but it still kills the motor so I'm missing something somewhere. I'll find it I just need to get in there and start figuring it out.

Ok yeah I just had a bad jumper wire hooked up so it still thought the kickstand was down. So that was my first test with the shifter and clutch and all! It works perfect!! The shifter is super smooth and easy to shift too. Basically one finger shifting. That push pull cable I used was from a boat supply place online and it worked out perfect. Woohoo, now as soon as I get the radiator holes fixed and get it mounted I'm good to go for road testing!!! Can't wait!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zx-hsR9qztg

I've got some body ideas I'm kicking around but haven't nailed one down yet. It's definitely going to be enclosed cockpit so I can drive on colder days here in CO.

Ok guys haven’t posted for a while but I have been working. I’m in the long tedious phase of all the little details like wiring and locking things down so I can get ready to drive it. I could probably drive it by this weekend but we’re going to be out of town so it will be another week and then I’ll be able to get some video of me driving it!! Here’s a few pics of my current progress; Got the battery mounted Started getting the rats nest of a wiring harness built, 58 wires total!

Hey, nice job. I built one with a VW front end and would like to go a arm on next one. So you mentioned that your front end is out of Toyota truck? Looks good. It looks like you have shaft drive? Mine does as well. Wish mine didn't limits the tire type and size. They don't last long. Keep up the good work.

Sorry guys, just saw this. Yes I've completed the trike and I've been legal and riding around all over Colorado now for a couple months. It's a total blast and rides so perfectly it's amazing! I get an enormous amount of attention! I already entered it in a local car/bike show and won 2 trophies; Best Exotic and Best Custom. Here is a link to the longer build thread and a video also bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=124253&st=180

Very cool project! I read over the linked thread, but it's been awhile since the last post - is the trike still running? Any updates? This build is being featured in the BikeBuilds.net directory here: Nitrotate's FJ1300 Reverse TrikeWe're currently displaying only a reduced-size photo (similar to what you'd find in Google Images). We'd like to ask for your permission to publish the original full-size image with your build listing. If anyone would like to have a build of their own listed, just send me a message with a link to the build thread and we'll take care of the rest. Ken
