I think that with only 1 rear brake i would not even drive it on the road. I wonder if he would survive running into the side of a car at 40 mph. It's built very simple without any thought of safety for the driver. Hopefully he as a seatbelt on the seat. Kudo's for building the trike but i would have put more thought into the build before i started building it. SRX660

Sorry NJ, hate to pile on but he's right. Not many of the trikes seen here would win safety awards but when we see something that unsound, we are obligated to speak out. You have too much weight high in the air on a narrow track with 3 wheels. Of course its tippy. Looks about as stable as a wheelbarrow. With the off road tire and single rear brake, the ability to stop in a reasonable distance is not going to happen.
Please, at least confine your testing to off-road, low speed.
Later: Maybe I should not be quite so negative. Gotta start somewhere. You are obviously having fun and who doesn't want that? Just be safe.

Thanks for the thoughts. As hard as it is to hear, it's good to think about that. I do live in China so for something electric like this there are not any safety regulations that I am aware of so I didn't put to much thought into safety but since it is China most other drivers are watching out for crazy/"incompetent" drivers so I pray that I don't die driving it!
It is a fun ride and hearing the responses of Chinese as I drive by is pretty cool!
