I am a 47 year old paraplegic and still have a couple of ducati's sitting around
I just ordered the crossbow plans as a starting point and I think I will break down my 750ss for the engine and harness I think I'll leave the 999 alone for now.
I have a pretty well stocked shop... mig, tig, tubing bender and a plasma cutter on the way. I plan on doing the crossbow frame in round dom tubing.and doing and independent front suspension air bagged with a hefty sway bar to control the roll and I'm going to use a 748 ducati single sided swing arm with a 205 motorcycle rear tire. I want to be able to drift the bike a bit lol.
I'm going to use the round tube so I can try and make the frame resemble the Ducati lattice frame as much as possible
All controls will be with my hands, not a problem with the pingle electric shifter. Will create a thread once I start the build. Already have my Mustang 2 2" drop spindles, vented disc's and a 12-15 inch adjustable sand rail rack and pinion. Just under half a turn lock to lock. Should work but I can always add a steering quickener which would put me at 1/4 lock to lock.
I have a lot of ideas... just wish my broken body could keep up with my mind haha.
Well that's it for now. Will keep ya updated. I have a project that I'm working on now that I expect to finish in 2 weeks. Then onward to oblivion
Don

Welcome, welcome!! Looking forward to your build. You will figure out how to get things done. It might take longer but it makes the progress that much sweeter. Been there in a very minor sort of way.........
