question is, reverse trikes are powered at the front two wheels. rear wheel drives are just a plain old trike being PUSHED along. Am I correct on this one?

Reverse trikes have two wheels in the front and one in the back verses a trike with one in the front and two in the back. Any of them could be driven. Many examples of both front wheel drive and rear wheel drive reverse trikes. question is, reverse trikes are powered at the front two wheels. rear wheel drives are just a plain old trike being PUSHED along. Am I correct on this one?

My JZR reverse trike (Looks like a 1932 Morgan) is a 2front and 1rear with a Honda CX650 motorcycle engine and a drive shaft to the rear wheel.

question is, reverse trikes are powered at the front two wheels. rear wheel drives are just a plain old trike being PUSHED along. Am I correct on this one? While they are still three wheels on the ground, a reverse trike with two wheels up are more stable and can out corner a standard trike, in most cases.... A standard trike will always try to push the front tire straight forward and if the rear diff posi's up and its wet out, a crash is very possible. On the driven wheel, most builders will go the "easy way to engineer" rear wheel drive. But any front wheel drive cars engine and transmission is a easy build front wheel driven trike. Then you could also use a all wheel drive unit, like Subaru or Mitsubishi and a motorcycle Shaft drive rear diff for a all wheel driven trike.
