Hi everyone,
I am a student in mechanical engineering and we have to prepare a group project in touch with mechanics in order to validate our degree.
We chose to build a reverse trike from a 500cm3 Peugeot scooter. We are looking for some ideas about the steering and the suspension by looking at some existing products such as Can-Am or Tremoto.
Yesterday,we saw another RT called the Hagane(made by yamaha),unfortunately we can't find any exploded views or technical documents about it. That's why i hoped maybe one of you could explain us how it works.
Thank you in advance for your answer.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
The trikes above lean while cornering and that is a whole lot of engineering that most of us do not want to get into. Sorry, no help on that.
I do knew a guy that was building one that sat two people tandum and looked alot like that Dutch (Niederland) trike that just the upper body leaned. But his was going to be a reverse trike. He had moved away and I do not know where.

You might look here for some ideas. tiltingvehicles.blogspot.com/Heres a picture i found of the hagane and a scooter. I don't know if the Hagane has the same suspension but it could. SRX660

Have you looked at the Piaggio MP3 reverse trike scooter? It is a smaller reverse trike than the Yamaha you posted.

I say make the front wide for more stable handling. but go for it use what you have but design your own vertion. I made mine from a front wheel drive so all I had to do was design the rear look up my name on Google for Pictures under whitman design , my son in law built the web for me. enjoy.
