well not really new to the forum, been on here a while admiring the trikes on here and researching kits available, since i am on a budget, the cost of importing a kit is a fair amount of the money available just to get in into the country, so i have been looking around for a local kit manufacturer, well at least one that builds a kit that i like the look of.
I have found one that i am pretty happy with and am talking to them about the chassis, it is build to fit a vtr1000 and i have a 03 gsxr1000 motor, they are happy to build a chassis to fit the motor for me and are in the process of doing up a quote for me, should have this (quote) in the next day or two.
Will keep posting up progress as it happens, at this stage i am looking at getting the chassis in late Jan.
Cheers Clive

I hope that is a rolling chasis. I see the frame and it looks sturdy built but I saw no forward a arms, spindles, brakes nor rear swingarm.

it is for the chassis, this all the mounts for engine, swingarm, a arms etc, floor pan, bulkheads, basicly bolt everything in and away you go, it dose come with A arms, but not the uprights etc, these parts are of very common cars and are easly and cheaply avaible for any wreckers, the swingarm that it is set up to take is out of the same model bike that the motor come out of, and once again easly sorced.

Thats good to hear. Hope it all comes together quickly without too much fab work. Everything on mine has been trial and error and fab from start to where I am now. Although not a trike, a trike was what I originally had in mind. I just felt that 2 wheels in the back would make it a little more stable due to the width and wide swing arm and tire kits are very expensive and I was afraid that hydropland skid out would have been more of an issue in wet weather with a single wide back tire. If I could have kept the body narrower that is the way I would have went with it. Its my first time building anything like this so I am learning.
Good luck

thank you this if my first trike as well, i have built many motorcycles (streetfighters). I have always wanted to do a trike and thought that one that had already had most of the bugs ironed out so to speak would be the way to go, the one on the sunshine coast (Australia) was driven in the wet for the first time last week and all reports on it handling are good, the only downfall (if you can call it that) was the amount of water that ended up inside the car.
