After 26 years of owning a commercial cabinet business in Jacksonville Fl, I decided I'd had enough and it was time to retire.
Having spent the last three years restoring my 1980 Shovelhead I'm getting a tad bored........I can only sit on the beach for so long :o)
As a native Brit, I was always inspired by the Morgan Trike and so have decided to do some research and build a 21st century version. I was always impressed with the performance of my Valkyrie and considered using a GL1500 motor in the rear.
I would appreciate all advice from the knowledgeable especially those who have "bin there dun that". I look forward to soaking it all up.

The nice thing about any shaft drive motorcycle engine is you can divorce the engine from the swing arm and make a longer shaft so you can mount the engine froward for a better weight bias. Just weld the swing arm to the back half. Then have a new longer shaft made with a center carrier bearing or two. Or use a shaft drive swingarm and mount a Cosworth Ford Focus engine up front.

I think the Blackjack zero is something you might like as a modern version of the morgan. The Avion is no longer produced but the zero is made in england and has been shipped here by a few people to build. The Zero is volkswagen air cooled engine propelled. With some modifications i'm sure a goldwing engine could be adapted to some kind of FWD drivetrain, although perhaps a moto-guzzi engine would be easier. There are moto-guzzi engined zeros already built. To me, just using a goldwing chassis bolted to a custom front end just makes a ugly long wheelbase 3 wheel car type of trike that weighs, handles, and drives just like a car. Think i could have more fun in a fiat 500. I will try to post some more pictures when i have a chance. SRX660
