hi all am contemplating building a reverse trike, first time for me, in the past have built 4wds from ground up, supecharged V6, space frame, air bags suspension etc etc, and are wanting to do another project a reverse trike, i first saw one in vegas last year and liked the concept. so throwing ideas around as i want it to be road legal. considering using a skyline front end for suspension, steering, hubs, brakes etc. yet to see if i use the skyline subframe or just build a jig so i can build a chassis to pick up the suspension points as required, NZ law i beleive are hard on home built suspension arms, but alot more leniant on the chassis side. using pipe frame probably 25NB med wall black pipe, fabricate a space frame chassis to take two seats, fire wall behind then possibly a vtec motor and box, lock the diff and drive with chain to back wheel on a fabricated swing arm. i realise this would not be the lightest options but would go like a scalded cat!!!! i have access to mechanical parts thru work, ( work at wreckers ) so can get bits cheap!! already got my eye on some m series 318 leather seats.!!! so comments, pointless using this gear ?? main reason for going this way is ease of fabrication and cheap, vs buying custom built tested gear. cheers Pedronz

Progress so far have 2 leather seats, 1600 injected twincam engine and manual gearbox, starter alt and engine raditor, front prelude suspension, swingarms, brakes, steering rack is coming shortly. have the front wheels, prelude with good tyres, have figured out the rear suspension, am going to be using a rear axle and the arm of a diff housing, the axle will be machined to take the chain drive, and the std handbrake assembly utilised on the rear axle, again not the lightest but strong, and it wi;; have a canter-levered airbag suspension, front suspension will be airbag, gives adjustability. have managed to do a swop for a radiator, give a mate a radiator and i get a full wilwood brake and clutch pedal assembly, have bought so 32nb pipe to bend up the lower frame and "roll bar" total cost so far $150 bux I have drawn some sketches up in solidworks, but want to get the major bits sorted so i can get some accurate measurements into the program and then get the design/concept approved by the lvvta of NZ then rock on into the build. cheers Pedronz
