Hey, stumbled across this forum whilst searching for reverse trike info! I've been reading through the build threads for a few hours, lots of great projects! I'm currently planning and collecting parts to make a reverse trike. It will be powered by a Honda CBR125ccm engine, will have a comet reverse box and the design off the sportcycle is one of my favorite. It's going to be a single seater with full fibreglass body and I'm aiming for it to be as light as I can make it, going for economy, not bothered about speed (100 km/h would be great) I'll be able to put it through the German TUEV test so it will be road legal. So sorry that I have stolen the text from blib but he really wrote with my words. It looks like we are very close with our plans. In Germany we are so closed to the EU (european union) and we have a lot off different regulations than to other countries. A RT is a normal car and not a motorcycle. And to get such a car road legal I have to look for pollution of the engine and a lot of this stuff. But never give up everthing will be good. Hahaha. It seems that here are not so much German in this forum. We don't have this community of RT builders in Germany. Sometimes I think I am the only one.Ha ha. So sorry for my english. I have learned english 35 years ago in school. Have to try to read and understand all threads but I really like the this forum. Thanks for create it. KOLIBRI

Your english is very good, far better than my german Sounds like a very interesting project! I'm still fascinated in the city el EV. Without Batteries it's only 180kg. And there ist still an electric motor and other things that nobody needs.
I have some experience with this car because 20 years ago we brought them from Denmark to Germany and sold them. I allways was impressed how easy it was to push it and it runs a few meters alone.
Because of the drumbrakes there is no friction, the wheels are so small as from a scooter but they are especially made for the city el. The wheels are 16" so the resistence of movement is very small.
I think it's a perfekt donor car.
I will use wheels and tyres, brakes, steering wheel, switches, handbrake, mastercylinder, windscreen and other things.
kind regards

kolibri,
Do not worry about your English. I've seen many native speakers do much worse than you are doing.
Can you post a photo of the project you are talking about. I'd like to see it.

Hello Scooterrebel, Here are some pics. First is my donor car. It,s a City El EV This is a twisted trike and a sportscycle. I think I will go with the twister. I like the tube frame. At the moment I'm building my new shop and think I can start maybe in a few weeks. Kolibri

Hi, started a few weeks ago very slowly with my projekt. Here is a question I hope one of you can answer. I wouldt like to use a Comet reverse box . To save space and trying to get a short wheelbase I want to turn around the reversebox 90 degree as seen in the picture. Any problems you can see or any experience. Thanks for any answer or idea.
