new member here. been riding conventional bikes of all types and sizes for over 30 years. Been wanting to build a rt since I first came across the t-rex. I have access to a fabrication shop and donor salvage bikes. Need blueprints. Suspension is my biggest hurdle. Fab or use something from a donor car ? Rear swingarm fab to fit WIDE rear or use a factory built bike with a 210 0r 240 rear ? There are a couple out there now. Shaft or chain ? Best bike to use as a donor ?
I am sure I will be visiting this site for ideas and help in the coming months.
locostusa is also a help for builders.

You really need to read this website on suspension. I think it will help you decide the direction you want to go in. www.carbibles.com/suspension_bible.htmlYes, its for cars, but what is a RT front suspension but a lighter version of the car suspension. It gives you the basic idea's so you can decide. Personally i would think about a double A-arm tubular suspension because of its infinite adjustability to fit your needs. Cheap and easy is the VW style suspension but that has gone out of style nowadays that they are a bit harder to find. Rod and custom magazine has a good article on the geometry of front susp's. www.rodandcustommagazine.com/techarticles/135_0401_independent_front_suspension/index.htmlKeep looking and you will find many articles on suspension.
