That little pee shooter just might have a comeback with gas prices rising again!...the fiberglass body would be a piece of cake to make and combine that with modern moped components, you would have one nice little commuter...I would actually use handle bars and their controls for ease of function...this would free up your cramped foot space...hey 3verse, you could use a Honda moped as the donor and come up with something similar...I would at least up grade the body design a little and increase the tire size as well...that thing looks way too easy to tip over. Yeah -- that's my one concern with this little guy -- they look way too unstable. I'd probably use racing go kart parts for the front suspension -- something meant to corner well and handle nicely. But otherwise, you can't beat the cuteness of these little things. And you get protection from the elements as well.
I emailed someone about prices for kits/bodies, and I'll post something when I get some info. I have a couple cb175 honda twin engines sitting around, so I'd probably use one of them for the donar motor. But I really like the idea of using a diesel motor and nick naming my car the "Veggy"

How about using a small sized diesel that would run a small generator...a diesel engine about the size of a 5hp Briggs & Stratton...couple that to a Harley transmission and I bet you could easily achieve 120+ MPG!! I'm not sure cart parts could handle the rigors of our street/highway system...I think maybe a quad front suspension would last longer and have bigger disk brakes...or another option is to look at the current golf cart set ups...they seem to be built with better parts these days and seem to have way more susp. travel. That's a good idea -- I'll have to look into the golf cart stuff.

3verse...I found this video of a kid who combined your cart concept...part cart racer and part Honda moped...if you use the moped steering controls, it will free up your feet...pretty cool ideal...now if you can add a little more suspension and a body you'd be set. www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEVN1Tuod60Dave
