Hey All, Just joined. Found the thread through Pinterst. My interests are in electric reverse trikes. It started back several years ago when, for kicks, a friend of mine electrified a KMX bike w/ a oversized outrunner electric motor (circa 2010). The trike got up to about 40 mph. It was a blast, but a little sketchy to drive at higher speeds. As such, we affectionately named it the death trike. Thankfully, no major injuries, but we did blow a controller or two. I've always have multiple projects going. One of my next projects I'd like to undertake is to make a larger trike from scratch using heavier duty electric bike components bordering motorcycle level (eg: higher voltage Fat Tire electric wheel, etc) as a test bed. Again, single passenger. After that, the goal will be to build a full size vehicle. I am a fan of the T-REX as well as the Mazda Kaan concept. I am located in CA (Orange County). My background is many years of aero/mechanical engineering. On the hobby front, I build a wide range of stuff and do some machining, welding, design, analysis, etc. As I start on the next project, I will post it here.

Welcome Leo. I helped build a 8 HP Briggs powered trike like that many years ago and it was stupid fast. A little longer, lot wider and lower CG would have helped. Now days I need a bit more crash protection. For electric motors the list is endless. I may be trying a dual 602 Hub Motor from EnerTrac www.enertrac.net/product.php
