I, Think you should worry about that 150cc you are planning for a RT??? (Traction) ME? If I do a 150GY6 it would most deff. get a fat tire kit, prob even a big bore kit. . . but I would like to shift...so I will be going a 200-250 upright. . . . I have a couple engines sitting around, just need to decide. looking good... gotta figure where to go to host pics besides photobucket…

The 150cc is nit bad, just 55-60 is max and riding at that speed will kill it. My new ride will be 200cc to start and a 5 speed....
The body was foam, carved and glassed over. Smoothed out with a small hood and trunk. I also molded in the seat and such... I cant find those pics.
If you go to photobucket folder, there are 2 more reverse trikes I built but they used a CBR1000.
Are you going with the larger wheels? Im wanting to dtay with some atv spindles, 14x10 wheels with 35 series tires....
Just curious....your concept is right up my way. Love it...

Remember your life depends on those welds, this is why I pay a pro, I do the designing and fitting. I am waiting for my local M/c swap meet for a Harley rear wheel, $200.-$300. used and yes to the bigger tire, 10" wide (traction). I'm still playing with the shocks for more wow.

Playing again with the shocks... Site will not allow me to download photos??? sorry people! TomyJ, NO one can add any pictures due to the last few members posting huge file photos. In your last 18 pictures they add up to 2.4 Megs and we only get 200 MEG's MAX for everyone and then we are shut off. You are not the only one with big picture sizes. Another member posted 8 photos at around 1.2 megs. Looks like Therustedwrench's photos are hosted off site and only put like 16 Kb's each of space on here. Of your like 39 photos, they average between 700 Kb's to over 1,004 Kb's (1.004 MEG) each so doing the math 700+1004= 1704, /2= 852, X 39= 33.22 Megs
I am trying to figure out how to reduce the sizes but of all the latest members pictures there are over 75 above 700 Kb's each and everyone is now locked out.
Proboards.com will up our limit for a fee but that takes someone to collect said fees and this means somehow we would need to charge dues and I AM not willing to try that nor would I know how to.

Rusted, it was not your pictures, I had already checked that and yours were hosted off site. You removing them made no differance, we are still over the limit. So where do you host them?

I had to use Photobucket... did not know where else to go...any ideas? thanks, I also did not want to hijack his thread and thought enough of mine, remove them and let the focus stay on 407 build.

If you look, all the pictures above are now hosted on www.ImgSafe.org and they are high quality. It took around 3 hours of converting them while multi tasking so its not a hard job, just time.

I take it I'm good to go? Flipped the swing arm over and raised the rear tire to M/T height 26" so axle will be 13" center. I can not down load a photo!

TomyJ No one can down load photos due to us being at our limit that Proboards allows, Sorry. Try using Imgsafe.org to up load your photo and then use the icon above with a picture to copy the link from Imgsafe to. 1. Open your picture folder. 2. On a new tab open Imgsafe. 3. Drag your picture over to the ImgSafe tab. 4. Click on the picture on the Imgsafe tab and it will open another tab. Go to that tab and scroll down to find the URL and copy it. 5. Then come back here and click that Icon above (as seen in picture below) and paste that Imgsafe URL and post it. This method seems to be a bit hard but after a few times it is easy and it posts BIG pictures but does not add to our sites storage.

I have been using Imgsafe for my pictures. You can either use a link to the pictures or use the "insert Image" button at the top of the post to show the pictures. I have not had any problems using Imgsafe. I am thinking the image link uses the least Kb in a thread. I always keep my pic's backed up to a DVD so i never lose them.

Thank You SRX, I keep all my saved photos and documents in a external hard drive. I like the start on your build, are you going to do body panels? plastics? metal? IF I do mine it will be foam and fiberglass. That piece of round foam will be the shape of the nose, anything shorter would look weird.

Tomyj, The first thing i wanted to do was build a wood body so i could get the idea in my mind of what i wanted to build. I am not good at keeping a visual in my mind. I need to see exactly what it is going to look like in front of me. I have been doing handiman work on houses since i retired 2 years ago. So, i have built up enough lumber and plywood from jobs to fill a 10 ft by 10 ft shed full. Everything i have done so far has cost me nothing to do. The only thing i have bought is the steel tubing for the chassis. The basic body is done and i will use it for measurements now. Now i am making a centerline frame mounted to a 3 ft by 10 ft 1 inch plywood i'm using for a level platform and start making stations at key heights of the body. Using lath strips i will fill out the body lines, making adjustments where i need to so i can see exactly what the body is going to look like. Wire mesh and plaster will let me shape the body, and then i will make concrete molds of each side, split in the middle, for smooth molds to make fiberglass sides.
It sounds complicated but really isn't. I worked for a company making concrete molds for detailed rounded paneling used on exterior commercial buildings for 5 years. We made concrete, fiberglass, and foam insulated concrete and fiberglass panels. the molds are made with square wire mesh, and slathered with lightweight concrete then braced with conduit pipes. We were making from 20 to 100 panels from each mold, then they were stacked in the back yard to either be reused or smashed up to fill a lot next door for more storage for the panels. Kinda neat was that we sprayed the concrete to make the molds and then the panels.
Now i am cleaning out my garage, and storage container so i can have the room to do this trike. So many tools and so little space, sigh! I's selling off a lot of tools i will never use anymore. Many of the concrete tools i have are for house building, scaffolding, ladders, Alum walkways, and lots of similar items are selling pretty quickly because i'm selling them cheap. They paid for them selves in the years i was doing house building, so why not give the young guys something they can use.
Ain't i long winded,LOL. Anyway It's slowing down a bit trying to get everything done, but i will post pic's of what i'm doing when i get down to business of getting it done.

srx, Thank you so much for the info. There are many ways to skin a Cat... My first trike was a "Tri-Muter" with the polyurethane foam panels and glass over it. So IF I do the nose, I will use foam and glass unless the frame really looks cool??? my frame will be square tubing because I do not bend, and I do not weld when my/wife life is on the line. We will not be lane splitting when riding so the more air we can steel to keep these engines cool, I will not have a radiator, I am hoping to use all of the doner bike parts as possible. Ohhh, I made my frame 9.250 wide because the Honda is at 9.5 and then the exhaust has room to be located stock and NOT wake up the neighbors. If I can think of anything more I'll fill it in here later. Again feel free to make any comments on my build...

Tomy, I hope you have read my post on another thread about imgsafe. While it is useful. i do not like that you can't have folders and you also cannot delete any pictures, even if they say you can. I think i am going to try out Image Shack for my next victim. I'm getting real picky about what i need to be able to post pic's on the forum. Image Shack costs $48.00 a year and says they have many options including multiple folders, being able to delete pic's,and using their links to post to the forum. They also say multiple people can add pic's to the site if i register them as associates. I am gonna try them and see if it works OK. Perhaps the forum will be able to post all pics from the threads on the image shack site( i'm hoping).
The basic program($4 per month) gives you these:
25MB file size per image Privacy controls Easy to grab links Image stats Unlimited space Ad and spam free Embed photos on other websites Free mobile app Send photos easily via email Share via Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and more Share direct links to photos and albums Easy to post links for forums & websites Create private albums Share albums only with people you choose Make any album or image private Enable right-click protection on your images Get email notifications as you wish Change your default view Bulk image management Bulk delete images Sort albums by title, date, file size and more Add titles and tags to images Rotate your photos
I am going to use it for 2 to 4 weeks and then i will write a review for the forum.
