Has any one got any tips on getting cooling air into radiators mounted behind the seats? I am planning to scoop air flow from under the trike , I don't want to scoop air from the side like the trex if I can help it. but I do have options to do it

If you scoop from under you may want to do a heavy wire screen. Your picture looks like a good way to do it. If you are going to feed the engine with scooped air you will want to add a 90 degree "Tee" in the line with a short section past the direction of your carb/throttle body. The top of the tee is the feed in on one side and a capped section past the 90 so any water will go straight and the air will go the 90. Never ever say "I will not ride in the rain". All it takes is to go 20 miles from home and the weather changes and a sprinkle will rune an airfilter and possibly "Hydrolock" an engine. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrolock

I am only scooping air to cool the radiator fortunately, I like your technology for the feeding the carbs from bellow. I am going to put a full length rubber duct (so it will deform if I ground the 2rike or hit an object in the road) under the back edge of the floor and it was the angle and length of the scoop I will need? It will be something I will develop an optimum when get it on the road, I just thought someone may have already done this.

Looks good. Not sure about the prevalence of road kill in the old country, but around here the highway department is not so quick to pick up semi-flattened coons, skunks, possums. Having only 4 inches of clearance, I have to drive around them anyway, but topping a hill or following another vehicle I'm sometimes forced to try to straddle them and hold my breath, hoping I don't snag something. Hope your air scoop doesn't scoop up something a bit less fresh.

Hope your air scoop doesn't scoop up something a bit less fresh. We don't get that much road kill to be honest and most of it is nearly always to be found near the edge of the road! Its the massive potholes we have to watch out for and the speed humps in the built up areas that's what I will have to watch out for. I have about 15cm of ground clearance that drops to 9cm with the scoop fully deployed which looks low when I have the 2rike on the floor I will find out how much i need to cool the engine when I start testing it. It will be interesting to find out how much air is passing under the 2rike and if I can get it to exit under the engine cover and over the rear side pods through the vent between the panels naturally. if that works out it will be like an internal "wing" with air flowing up into the radiator and exiting over the rear side pods.It does work now when the electric fan comes on, that is in the ducting in front of the radiator. again it will all be found out when we start testing it.

Maybe its where and how I ride that is the problem, but I have managed to tear, rip or fold any item under my trike that is lower than the main frame rails. I ride day or night, smooth or rough roads, go anywhere I want with it, it is not a show piece, it was built to be flogged to death, ridden hard, put away wet and dirty. But above all it’s a hoot to blast down the road.
It seems to me that the air flow under the trike continues to flow in a straight direction and does not want to flow upwards into the vent opening. I have had much better luck at flowing air from the side of my trikes than from underneath. If you are concerned about drag from air scoops check out NACA ducts
Dave mentioned adding a 90 deg tee in an air scoop feeding air to the engine; this is commonly called a pre-cleaner in air filtration design and will remove a large percentage of dust, dirt, stones and moisture from the air stream. Some designs route the air in a circular path so as to force all debris outward away from the filter element, thus increasing the life of the air element.

I can confirm that the 2rike under floor cooling ducting worked really well on the track when i tested it at Blyton, it was a cold day (5 deg) and I did about 40 miles I even ended up running it only a quarter open so I think there will be plenty of scope for cooling in the hot summer months I put two parallel rubber strips (75mm deep) under the 2rike to guild the air down the centre of trike to the air scoop so the air couldn't spill out of the side. You can see them on the cornering profile picture. I will do some trials when i get the 2rike on the road to see how effect they are and if I actual need them. I will report back.
