The project plan is to design a simple low cost Electric Reverse Trike that anyone can do with simple tools minimal knowledge and experience. The goal is to achieve a plan set that can be easily followed and duplicated. I will also provide electric component kits as well as body and or completed rolling chassis kits. This way people can choose how much they would like to do and save!
Main Components: #1. Triumph Spitfire/GT6 Chassis #2. Triumph front suspension and steering #3. Honda Goldwing GL1800 complete rear swingarm and differential including monoshock and disc brake #4. Honda Goldwing rear wheel #5. Front wheels TBD #6. Bridgestone Ecopia Tires 16" front and rear #7. Custom dual motor design #8. Custom controllers #9. Powerglide Transmission #10. Custom aerodynamic composite body shell fully enclosed #11. Battery pack customizable depending on individual needs and desires.
This will be a very low weight fully enclosed reverse trike that will be freeway capable. The battery design will be the final factor that will determine top speed and range. My initial thoughts are a 156V system upgradeable to over 200V for increased performance potential if desired. The dual motor/dual controller design will be capable of pushing the EV extremely fast and will be virtually maintenance free. The overall drive train efficiency will be very high for increased range and performance.
With this basic design I would not be surprised if the vehicle could have a top speed in excess of 100mph! If you wanted to put some money into the batteries you could also have a range in excess of 100 miles.
