Auburn Washington. Kolibri, Kassel Germany, oh man the food and wine from that area. YUMM. I would do a loop ride from Kaiserslautern to Stuttgart then up thru Wurzburg, Rotenburg, then Kassel to spend the night. Take off at daybreak to Cologne, down to Trier and home. If I had a three day weekend I'd stop and spend the day in Rotenburg and camp out for the night. I pulled a small 1 wheel trailer with my camping gear. I got detained by the Polizei in Trier for Drunk while walking at the Porta Nigra. Oh yea, I rode a Suzuki GS750N over 60,000 miles in three years on the Autobahn while in the ARMY over there. Spelling? I can relate. Lived there 86-91. Sure miss my 911 Turbo sometimes.

My dad was stationed there. K-town, 1128 Delaware Apt. B 1968-1972. We drove all over Europe. Great times. I was in K-Town 1144 Connecticut Av Apt E3 from 1987-1991. You would not believe how that area had expanded. There is one of the worlds biggest traffic circle near there. Copy and paste this link to see. maps.google.com/maps?q=Kaiserslautern,+Germany&hl=en&ll=49.441538,7.706115&spn=0.002096,0.005284&sll=47.272986,-120.882277&sspn=4.480011,10.821533&oq=Kaiser&t=h&hnear=Kaiserslautern,+Rhineland-Palatinate,+Germany&z=18

I have looked at the base on Google Earth. It has changed. Wish there were street views available. I lived in the big apt building south west corner of Delaware and 4th. The little building next to it didn't exist back then. We used to cut across Connecticut on the way to school. A lot of the buildings have been removed and built in a different configuration. Not as many big apt buildings. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Sorry to hijack this thread for a bit.

My son went to DOD's Vogleweg Elementary. Our building was the first one at the top of 4th and Connecticut on the left. 2 stairwells with 8 Apts each. Good times when I was at home but my unit was mobile and we were in the field for 45 days, back in base for 2 - 3 weeks and back out for 45 days. I had my 84 Dodge Shelby Charger there, boy did the hooligan Opal Kadet driving punks hate that car. Outside of that big traffic circle was the GM's Opal factory and those boys thought they had hot cars till they met a Blue with a Silver stripe Shelby.

Goulais River , Ontario, Canada
20 minutes north of Sault Ste. Marie, right in the middle of the Great Lakes.
Best to have studded tires on your trikes when you pop up here around December to March!
