FYI on email notification of threads.
I miss not getting notification by email of a reply to my post.
You will need to bookmark each thread you want to receive emails on. Sorry that i cannot make it automatic, but this is Proboards rules.
This is done through our bookmarking system. Click the profile button at the top of the page, and then click the 'bookmarks' link. Next, click the "Manage Bookmarks" link (if you have topics bookmarked already, this link can be found in the top right hand corner of the bookmarks listing). On the manage bookmarks screen you'll see the following line: "By default, when you bookmark a thread, what type of notification would you like to receive when a new post is made in that thread?" -- set this to "email" and save the changes. With this set, you'll receive email updates to threads you have bookmarked.
Is there a code that will make it to where they don't have to do all of that? Can the admin set it for them to have it happen? I basically have a lot of posting and some don't come back until days after a post I think if they got emails after they posted that there was a reply people would return to the forum quicker. setting a bookmark for each individual thread seems cumbersome.
It's up to the members what they receive, all you can do is post how to do it, and let them decide.
