I had come here to ask this. Thanks for posting
So I am not sure if the link covered this. But how do you keep a level even layer to the car? If you know what I mean. Such as if I were to carve two car doors. Is there any semi-easy way to create a mirror look alike of the original piece???

If the vehicle uses compound curves in the body, you will need to make each door separately. Only if there is just 1 single plane curve in the door section of the body it would be possible to turn the one side around and use it on the other side.
I think it would be easier to make the whole body, then use cheap 2x4 or 2x6 wood to frame out the doors and use a drillsaw to cut out the doors.

Go to Youtube and search Bailey Blade Yes, it is a 4 wheeled vehicle, but he has some great videos on how he built the body on it.
