Excellent looking build, Pook. I wish i had the equipment and talent to get that far in a build. Keep up the good work. I'd give my right leg to test drive that one.

Man thanks! I'm pluggin away ;D there is no talent involved just alot of trial and error. I'm still working on the front end and I guess I'm down to the sway bar, gonna try to make it adjustable on the fly should be fun. Looks so busy in the latest pics but believe it or not I still fit in it.... PooK

changed my mind on the sway, I guess I'll go with a conventional style....(I'm quickly running out of room in the nose of this little thing.) I did get my wheels in this weekend ;D PooK

Started tinkering on the body work.....so far not very happy may have to get some design idea's elsewhere ie. someone with artistic ability that I DON'T have.

Hi,
Super good looking build!
I have been intrigued with the fiberglass over foam core type of body construction. How do you attach the bodywork to the frame? I'm guessing little weld on tabs on frame, but how or do you support / reinforce the fiberglass mount point?
I have several sheets of rigid urethane (very fine grain) foam a friend gave me from a fiberglass homebuilt airplane project he bought material for, but never started. I keep thinking I should build a body for my trike, but like you not much on the "art" part.
Yours, Jim

hey, The best way "I think" is to weld tabs (dzus tabs in my case) and at the points were the fasteners will pass through the composite drill oversize holes, tape the bottom of the hole and fill the hole with resin till it's level with the top layer, after it sets it can be drilled to the correct size and give a strong pass through. or I have seen spacers placed in and bonded with the resin, but I see the different expansion rates as eventually cracking the composite like rivits do to bondo after time.

Could you show some details on how you're doing the rear wheel/tire/brake/sproket setup? I am loving this build and could use some ideas on how to do mine -- thanks!

Hey 3verse, I didn't get the usual e-mail, it went to my spam? anyway all I have is a drawing at this point, no axle yet.... I think my lathe is going to be to small so I'm going to have to wait till the funds are avail for a "real" machinist....not cheap! I'll try to get my design on the computer and out of my head, and post it up. PooK

Pook, did you ever finish this thing? Edit: For anyone who comes across this thread, Pook went into business with this thing. Design is on hold in lieu of another project. www.matrixmotorwerks.com/M3-Rota.php

Just curios if you have plans for this project and if your willing to e-mail them to me? I know thats asking alot, but my son keeps telling me that he wants to build something to have fun on and this is by far the coolest thing I have ever seen!!! Where do you buy all your parts for your build? Thanks in advance. brandon_gokey@yahoo.com

What ever happened here? I've been 'lurking' on this forum and this build really exited me. Now it seems it has been forgotten.
