I have wanted a RT since I first saw the T-Rex in the 90's but couldn't afford that sticker. I finally found ENZO out of Texas, My custom Trike is being built right now. His prices are very reasonable and Travis is a nice guy.

Welcome to the forums. Keep us posted on progress.
This is not directed at you Darkside, just a warning it may happen. I am sure an Enzo basher will be on here soon. It seems that a GUEST poster will come on and bash Enzo but leaves no proof of Enzo being bad. If they have proof, join the forum and post your proof. We have the moderators try to keep it clean.

Hi! I was first on the list at So Cal Motorcycles for a new Slingshot. I sold my Victory Vegas in November in preparation for a December delivery, but, sitting in the Slingshot made me feel like I was in a bulky, rather heavy sports car. I wanted a motorcycle replacement, not a car so I started looking again.
I finally decided on a T-Rex clone from Enzo's Custom Cycles in Burnet, Texas. Travis Meriweather and his team put together between five and ten reverse trikes per month, all custom built in a variety of body styles. The Enzo T-Rex clone is about three inches taller and six inches wider than a Campagna T-Rex. I take delivery in early March. Ryan White, their customer coordinator, has agreed to provide pictures of the bike through the build process which I will post here starting later this week.
For general info, a fully loaded custom built T-Rex clone from Enzo's is about the same price as a Slingshot SS.
I selected a traditional T-Rex style front end but changed out the T-Rex rear end for that of a Venom SS with monoshock rear and an 18 inch wide tire. I started out planning on a Hayabusa Gen 2 engine but, after reviewing the engine specs, switched to the BMW K1600GTR engine instead for a 25% increase in low-end torque and 2k less RPM at 70 mph. I lost about a bit of 0-60 acceleration (from 3.2 to 3.8 sec) but that's probably OK for an old guy.
The dual exhaust will be use Yoshimura carbon fiber slip-ons routed high, coming out on each side of the tail lights.
The front wheels are matt black Privat Kuhl 20 inch. Enzo's is fabricating a rear wheel to match the design of the Privat Kuhl wheels. The dashboard will use a K1600GTR instrument cluster inset into the dash.
You can have either the T-Rex style fiber glass seats with pads or they will drop in a floor pan and you can have your choiceof racing seats. I went for the floot pan and selected the Sparco Chronos seats for the lateral support. Only the base of the seat is important; Enzo's orders a custom seatback to fit into the style/shape of the bike.
The media system uses seven inch flat panels and has nine hundred watts feeding six speakers and a woofer. The media display is used as the display for the backup camera.
Every couple of days I have to make another set of choices to stay ahead of the assembly. This week it was pedal assembly and pedals.
I think I am having as much fun defining the bike as I will actually driving it.
I have example pictures of each option I am picking that I will gladly post if someone will tell me how to upload pictures via URL.

me to always liked the looks of the trex orig but some of the later ones are very aggressive looking esp the new front ends just wasn't in the budget this time

I built my own frame and found out later that I can’t use it because I am not a DOT approved license frame builder. I can modify a frame to fit but I can’t build one. So I resisted it as downer. You must have all the papers from the downer bike and you must have the MSO from a DOT approved fame builder. Call Trenton DMV and ask for the reconstructed vehicle dept. and have them send you a packet with the info you need. If it works out and you do build it let me know I would like to see it. wackimac@gmail.com
