Working on a fixture now for the 18 degree uprights to be welded in place (for square). This is what they will look like... Annnd,,, I am not happy with the way the rim and swing arm fit together, so one or both will be replaced...

Many thanks to the extensive documentation and great pics. Your meticulous attention to detail will pay off when it's complete. It's difficult to predict the amount of distortion from welding at best you can only clamp it in place and have a way to correct any out of Tolerance movement. I've had best results by partially welding a section allowing it to fully cool and then welding a little more, possibly several times if necessary, good luck.

When the welders were welding up the Space Needle in Seattle, the welders had 9 inches of weld time on each part and they had to move to a cold area to avoid destortion. That whole tower is made from pre curved 1 1/4 inch thick steel plates and its all STICK welded.

It's the little things that must fit together, I have been working with the Batt. Box, Rear axle spacers, and the Jack Shaft pillow block bearings making the mounting slots a little wider for more chain adjust, and the shift linkage with toe and heel levers, and the front floor boards will come soon.
