While i am the design and parts collecting stage of building a full size RT trike, i have decided to start with something smaller to get some experience. So i am going to combine a dirt devil off road go kart with a similar 3 wheeler go kart that i found on the net. SRX660

No, i don't have plans for that one. I found the pictures on the net and used them to show the general idea of what i was going to do. What i have is a honda XL-250 swingarm assembly that i will use along with some 20x8x8 trailer tires for the front.
I have been collecting small dirtbike parts for a while now so i have a bunch of various motors i can use. A Honda 250 single, yamaha 250 single, Kawasaki 250 twin, and a honda 400 twin engines are my prime canadates because i got all these engines running right now.

I have also seen this on the net, but have been unable to find it again. A little bigger, with front suspenion and brakes and It could be fun as a road going trike.

Love the double fats at the rear!! I would have to say that that go cart does not classify as a trike...it still has 4 tires in contact with the pavement...this brings up a good questiuon when building and licensing a vehicle...there is no law that states how far apart the wheels should be...so, can you still classify this go cart as a trike...most laws clearly state any and all wheels in contact with the road surface, a wheel is identified by one rim and one tire each...am I wrong?...call me crazy but I'm pretty sure gocart or not if it were a real full size car it could not be registered as a trike becouse it still has 4 wheels, even though it looks like a trike. Hi To all, I know this page is a little old now but for anyone who might still be interested, the blue 3 wheeled cart is a Scorpion and is part of the Spidercart range of plans and is found here: www.spidercarts.com/go-kart-plans.html I purchased the plans for the Arachnid cart some time ago which has front end suspension as well as rear, the plans are very comprehensive and well put together for the price. Although I have yet to do the build it is very much on the to-do list, but perhaps widened to a 2 seater now that I have grand children, ( best excuse in the world to do the things I want to do, ha ha). I think it would also be a very good first step to building the required skills and understanding to complete a road going trike in the future, Cheers, Ross

Not sure if anyone is monitoring this blog anymore, But, if so, what size are ther rear tires and how was it set up? Spider carts show a kart similar to this, but the plans for this are for a single fat tire. Probably good for drifting but looks bad. help if you can....Thanks
