Hi! I am obsessed with the can am spyder rt. But I see the price tag and I'm just shocked.. But I started looking Into the cheap Chinese models and I don't know if I should go with the Chinese model or just wait. Now I know that the Chinese model is a lot less powerful with only 250 cc but I also know that there are aftermarket parts for that very reason..
Thanks!!

I would not bother with the chinese copy's. By the time you upgrade the engine, drivetrain, and suspension to have a useable daily driver you will have spent 75% of the cost of a can-am and you will still have some shoddy bodywork to deal with. I think you would be better off with a elio trike if they get going on production at $8000. www.eliomotors.com/Building your own body for a elio would be much faster than rebuilding a chinese trike. Just my opinion I now have a friend that wants to buy my kawasaki ex500 motor and wants to put it in a chinese trike. Measuring the frame tells me we will have to cut into the seating area by 2 inches to fit the motor. Either that(it's easier) or cut the frame tubes and extend the chassis by 3 inches for the motor. With the angles and curved pipes things are not going to line up good so there's more work to do by cutting the chassis. SRX660
