Hi All,
I called Foremost Insurance Group and received a quote from Foremost AARP insurance program.
100,000/300,000/5,000 Liability only, one year premium of $353.00 for WI driver, no tickets, no accidents.
Vehicle was described as three wheeled motorcycle, no mfg, titled in WI as homemade, state of WI issued VIN number..
Foremost has a category called "constructed". I spoke with a lady named "Stefanie".
Foremost (800) 752-2461

Hi All,
Update to the insurance question. I contacted a local independent insurance agency. They have given me a quote of $236.00 a year for 100/300 liability only on a homemade motorcycle through Geico, I took it.
Now I'm properly licensed and insured, just need to get rid of all the snow and ice so I can ride it.
Yours, Jim

That's not all that bad of a price, considering your driving a home built vehicle.

I know this is an old topic but it may need updating.
I just insured my 2008 Suzuki Burgman 650 thru AARP's Formost. I had Progressive for about 7 years and the rates kept going up and up. My levels are liability only at 100K/300K, Un-insured, Under-insured. I am 57 years old, married, Credit score over 820, Have 1 "Not at fault" accident and no tickets. My renewal with Progressive was $174 and with Formost its $117. USAA was over $200 as was Geico.

When I had my motorcycle accident April 17th, 2015 I had Foremost insurance. I got hit by flying tire debris and hit the concrete barrier at over 60 MPH. No witness. No other vehicle involved that I could PROVE. Foremost refused to pay a claim. The even refused to pay for my riding gear. I got nothing. My lawyer said this is common and even if we could force them in court to pay, my medical bills were at $130,000 (at that time)and they would only pay up to the $100,000 per person part of the $100/$300K limit. So I lost my $5,000 bike and $1,200 in riding gear. I now have Progressive "Full" coverage. I learned the hard and painful way of dealing with a cut rate company. And the final cost of my medical totaled $235,000 and loss of wages of $15,000. I am lucky my company/union provided medical insurance covered me for my med bills.

I am also insured through Progressive as I have been since the trike became street legal in 2010. 75 bucks a yr. I have minimum liability coverage 25/50/25.. I'm going to increase that next time as that is something next to nothing these days. Policy is for a 2010 YZF 600R, same as it says on the registration.
